What are some funny people observations that you’ve made at work? I have an associate who seems to flock towards the guys in her age group. Who told me to keep more of them when seasonal ended? She only had one prospect before and now there’s 4. I didn’t notice for a while until a supervisor pointed it out, but now I can’t unsee it. If she’s at work with one of them, she’s connected at the hip. The work still gets done for the most part though, so I just laugh when I see it.

As long as the work gets done it’s fine but when will people learn work romances are a bad idea? Don’t crap where you eat.

Does anyone have ideas on how to navigate a smaller team environment when everyone’s roles seem to be stretched (hiring for additional people has been taking a while, not sure why). The stress causes some tension and that’s probably not great for the overall morale of the company long-term. I try to ignore and just stay focused on what I need to do yet sometimes proves challenging. I worry it might affect my professional/career growth. Thoughts on this would be helpful, thanks!

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

Thinking of switching employers. Do you think bigger retail stores (the ones that have several locations) are easier or harder to work at than little hole-in-the-wall grocery stores (which is all I've ever done)? It seems like the larger chain stores would have more downtime, but I'm wondering if anyone could give some input.
