So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Depends on the team.
Some teams have each round as an elimination round. In such teams, managers may reject 20-30 % of people who cleared the previous rounds.
Some teams have panel style interviews where no rounds are elimination rounds. The individual interviewers get together after the interview, collate the feedback and vote on whether to proceed with the candidate.
If you are the first choice candidate, you'll likely hear from them within a week. If there are others who have done better, then you might have to wait longer. Maybe a month.
Best not to assume. Wait for 2-3 days and then contact the recruiter for an update. Keep reminding them till they give a definitive answer.
Normally very low chance of rejection.
When did you interview and how many interviews did you have?
Was it spread over multiple days or on same day?
For me its my firrst time making to this round, and there were supposed to be 3 rounds in total on sire in 1 day only, but my case was that I went for the interview from very far away, and had to leave the same day after completing the interview, however my Written and first technical round went quite well, idk if it was this reason or they were in hurry, they asked me for 1 small round 5 mins max ig, where there was some hr ig who talked to me that we have this- this role open and we'll arrange a call for you on Tuesday with Manager to check which role u fit in and then the person who was handling candidates asked me to leave and said we'll arrange your call fter 2 days.
Initially I thought I was rejected, but they didn't want to say this upfront, but then yesterday I got a mail and calls regarding my last round.
Looking at the scenario, do you think that they are just doing it for backup or they are actually considering me?
I had two tech and one managerial spread over 2-3 days . How much time does it take to hear after the HM round? Btw Do you also work in cisco
mostly they dont. Which BU and skillset ?
Not sure as i got rejection mail. Even the job id was missing from the site
