What are the most lucrative exit opps for a generalist/strategy consultant at big 4 public sector consulting with security clearance? I’ve heard positive things about Google and Amazon/AWS and about some of the big defense firms (Lockheed). Is it actually possible to boost comp by 50% or so on exit from big 4 in this space?

Can anyone explain why agencies seem to favor hiring a ton of freelance people over full time creatives? I can’t imagine it’s cheaper than paying someone a salary.

Should a remote job’s salary be based on where I live or the company? For instance, I’m interviewing with a SF company for a role that has the ability to be remote (I live in portland). They gave me the “portland range” when talking about salary. What if I later on decide I no longer went to be remote but come into the office and be in SF area. What’s the typical approach with salary for jobs that can be remote?

Is it bad manners or just a bad idea to go back to a recruiter if they got you a job that wound up being a bad fit?
For context, I don’t think they misled me. The job changed 3 weeks after I got hired, and got stuck in a role that’s just not a good fit. Gave it 6 months of honest effort and I’m ready to start job hunting.

I’m reviewing my resume getting ready to start my job search and have a question for recruiters, hiring managers. I’m looking for a role brand-side not agency side. Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on?
