Impact of big 4 consulting in an data engineering career.

I recently started at one of the big 4 as a DE. So far I have seen some pretty poor coding practice, lack of version control and taking short cut everywhere. Every one also highly prefer no code ETL tool. I am a little worried that this environment is bad for a DE career.

Hey! I got an offer today from R@kuten for Sr Business Analyst of CAD $110K+15% annual bonus. Verbally in conversation with recruiter I had asked for CAD 115+10% annual bonus. I was initially offered $110k+10% annual bonus. I would have said $18/$20 if I hadn't asked him instead .The average student earns between $15-$20 ...so it sounds really good but that's only an opening offer.
