Hold up and just think for one second. $75-80k as a starting salary straight out of school. That’s bananas. If you can’t figure out how to live and save significantly on that then you have a spending problem, not an income problem

No, I’m pretty sure I understand it and not interested in belittling people by telling them to look in a middle school text book, implying my knowledge base is that of a middle schooler. Since I’m the middle school type, I’ll show my work and maybe you’ll grace me with some partial credit. In your example, wages between 2000-2010 (35->60) rose at about 5.5% per year. By the looks of these salaries being posted, the wage growth from 2010-2021 (60->80) of about 2.6% per year. All of this leads back to my original point that our beginning staff salaries haven’t kept pace with the market and is driving attrition in our firm. Hard to argue against those statements but happy to hear your thoughts if you disagree.

I think it depends on which service line in Tech… Tier 2 city $82,8000 Tech Consulting (Cyber) for me right out of undergrad ‘21
Based on people I’ve spoken with, 2021 starting salary seems to be about $10k higher than 2020
Graduating in December, have an offer for KPMG advisory in MCOL for $75k + $5k signing bonus
