High pitch voices saying "I think this is a great opportunity for your career" (while it really isn't).
Getting asked to cancel vacations because the team is under resourced.
Getting asked to volunteer your time (and over time) because you can work faster and better than others.
And the last straw, calling 50hrs/wk good wlb.
BCG1 not everyone uses their free time just to “chill out and bs”. Your inability to engage in other productive and meaningful activities with 2 hours of free time does not translate them to a waste of time for others.
The fact that most of us probably never have seen a recommended implementation from inception to the maintain phase. We only know sections of a whole.

SA3, chill. There are a lot of entitled, well paid folks on this app. I got a lot of flack for saying 55hrs/wk was too much. Every person is entitled to their feelings and allowed to have their own perspective on their situation. I asked D7 the question to put things in relative context and after they responded I whole heartily agree D7 is overworked and underpaid.
The people that take the work wayyy to seriously…nobody’s life is dependent on our work.

Questionable because you got “mangers” litterally smearing projects with their poor judgment.
Don’t really fit in anywhere besides consulting, feeling trapped. Did a little bit of everything and staffed on not so great projects - not very appealing to industry
Same here. Been trying to exit since forever across a wide gamut of roles but converting nothing. Sucks
It’s very luck of the draw in terms of up skilling yourself and the type of experience you might get.
Commercial side? You’re probably doing a lot of short projects and being a Jack of many trades master of none.
Gov side? You’re probably doing super long term projects and while you are probably building more depth in a narrow function, you’re also pigeon holding yourself for future roles at a certain point.
You really need to know what your next step is and when you want to take it. Or the company will put you where they want to put you.
The false sense of superiority
Jumping from call to call, not having any time to do actual work then having to work weekends to cover up
Weaponized incompetence - overselling stuff you don’t know or have assets for, overworking team members, not understanding the actual scope of work required for a deliverable

Too much of a focus on selling a tech implementation. Take too much crap from nasty clients in the hopes of selling them a project.
Lacking fulfillment due to our role in society being that we are making our firms more money, and money being the main source of motivation to do well in this field
Falls short in engineering… basically the my current project is cutting corners to badly that they are burning money trying to save Pennie’s. Have my working Atleast 14 hour days as entry

D4 try working with some who is full of bs great at politics but produces no good work and does not contribute helpful insights to the team
