Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

Don’t they have taxation issues?
I can do the same exact work from outside the US but cannot due to the fact that I’m in my home country.

I’m at PwC Canada. We have been expressly told we cannot work outside of Canada due to tax reasons.
EY US certainly doesn’t allow it either

I would look in to applicable tax issues. The same kerfuffle appears for non-EU citizens: if you have a valid work permit in France, you can't just pop over into Germany to do the same work, even for the same client.
If you are thinking about going to a country where you are a citizen/ have valid passport - just try to find something on remote working laws.
That's a good point. I thought about tax implications cuz canadian tax law also stated residency rules. Thank!
Apparently there are also employment law issues - I heard someone do the same at my company but they didn’t go through proper channels. If that person, for example, is let go, there are local laws to abide by and severance implications. And things like vacation days, etc. And if the company isn’t registered in the country you’re going to, it can cause huge problems. I don’t have details but I just know someone did it and aside from tax considerations, it caused a lot of problems. Talk to HR. You won’t have been the first to ask them, they’ll be able to tell you.

I am an American and a partner out of another countrys EY office allowed me a desk a few times to work remotely even though he knew I wasn't there for a client (non COVID times). So really depends on your relationship with your leaders. I charged my time as though I was in America...
This is clearly not allowed and lying on your timesheet is a big deal

I think you will need to consult HR to understand any tax and work authorization implications. Most likely you won't be able to because your firm is unlikely to be able to get work authorization to have you work in another country on clients in your present country.
I’ve looked into moving to New Zealand and they just so happened to have data analytics roles at the Deloitte office there. I’d be very happy to do exactly what I do now but in the land of the kiwis
