I like how you lumped ACN with Indian firms.
We don't do hourly rates
We don't bill by hour but by week. You can deduce a rough hourly rate though with some assumptions. I'll range though... for MBB I would put it within the $500-800 depending on whether new hire or 1+ year tenure.
No clue about those numbers. RTS though is often fees at risk, so I wonder if those are the guaranteed portion, less the at risk. Also, funny to see that article... I know some of those folks..
What is an SC? Post MBA? Pre manager?
MBA hire.
I don't want to be compete for work that's awarded based on hourly rates.
We don't bill by the hour. Here's a rare peak into rates though, it might give some sense of direction: http://www.bizjournals.com/dayton/news/2015/05/08/restructuring-firm-sent-standard-register-a-hefty.html
When we staff India resources at D, they are generally billed at 1/4 to 1/5 the rate of a USA consultant. They also have easier utilization targets. So id assume they get paid somewhere between $20-30k.
Interesting @bain1, McKinsey rates are lower than deloittes
@D1, I'd imagine there's a significant contingency fee as well, but I don't know how McK, let alone this practice specifically, prices their work.
Also, keep in mind that fees aren't necessarily standardized and can vary by industry, team size, engagement length etc.
I think RTS fees are different to general consulting
Nothing seems outsized in the billing rates. People pay all of us a lot per hour. If you think it's too much, are you offering enough value?
