So I’m Nigerian and from the Igbo tribe but my parents never spoke Igbo to me or my siblings growing up so none us can speak it. There is an Igbo podcast I’ve started listening to to help me learn Igbo and it’s been great, I’ll try to use the phrases we learn on my parents and they love that I’m trying to learn

Also just refinished an old axe.
Fair enough. I volunteer with a veteran’s based disaster relief organization as a disaster sawyer. We have axes (of which this is a very small model) that we use for driving wedges to fell trees.
This little guy’s handle was broken and since it was too small was going to be thrown away. I thought it would be an interesting project to bring it back to life. I used an angle grinder with various grits of flap disc to reshape the axe head. This is more difficult than it sounds because too much heat will alter the temper of the steel. I used Emory paper to sand the axe up to 1200 grit. Then I used a buffing wheel to bring out the luster. It hasn’t been fully hung yet but I am going to do that here shortly with a dark cross wedge.
It is a fully functional axe (no filler or metal playing). The edge has been sharpened up to an 8000 grit sandstone - you can literally, and cleanly, shave with it.
I am thinking that it might make a good award or token of recognition within my volunteer organization.
Piano, but am struggling to find good online courses. Any recommendations?
I use simply piano and love it!
I’ve been making new friends
Kids. Kids games. Teaching kids. Feeding kids. Playing with my kids. Going for walks. With my kids.
I‘m thinking a lot about how to get fresh and nutritious food while reducing my trips to the grocery store, so now I‘m making my own sourdough bread and growing microgreens (cress, pea sprouts and mung beans right now, will sprout some wheat next to make my own baking malt). I‘ve also sprouted some ginger and turmeric roots and am trying to get the strawberries and herbs on my balcony going again without buying any new plants from the store
Where did you get the seeds from?
