Stuck in same company for 7 years without growth, working in production support without skilling in latest technologies. Started learning React and want to shift on React frontend path. Again, stuck at resume building i dont know how to incorporate react into the projects i have worked. Can anyone send me (n4bryqzp@duck.com) React resume for reference?
Me. Every single day. Since I started practicing.

So creatives get consistent raises?! I picked the wrong department. Most of are lucky to get a raise every 2 or 3 years. And if we do, it’s something pathetic like 5%. And that might be only for the “top performers.” And never a bonus unless the agency gives the same few bucks to the whole agency at year end. But in reality, we usually make less every year because insurance always goes up. That’s why I’ve been job hopping. Only way to get a raise for many of us.
17% raise and a bonus. I produced the biggest work that came out of the agency last year, and helped win a pitch. I also didn’t take a vacation and am overworked. So it wasn’t without a price.
2.9% here, no bonus. Couldn’t round up to 3 I see.
Pro
No raise in the last 5 years, no bonuses in the last 30.

From talking to all my friends, it seems like agencies are strapped for cash so they’re giving raises to their top people and not much to everyone else.
Some of my friends have gotten little 5% bumps, some huge 20% bumps and a few havent gotten a raise since 2019.
No bonuses at all though.

The hiring market is really hot right now. If I were you I’d put my portfolio out there and see what happens.

TM1 - Exactly. As they say in Blade Runner, if you’re not Creative or Account Services, you’re little people.

And even the titles. Some departments have so many levels. But I could have the same one for a decade or more.
No raise, but I did get a week’s worth of pay as a belated Christmas bonus. Honestly, the first bonus I’ve received in 6 years.
Pay increase + bonus
no raise, just a bonus at the end of 2020
What % did your bonus come out to? If you’re willing to share.
Promoted to ACD + 10% bump.
6%(avg) bonus for the last 8yrs
They got me cheap for a role that pays way more at the same company. But is a gamble on their part, so I get it. At some point I’ll have to jump ship to get that 💰 but for now just trying to learn and grow.
20% bonus and a promotion. Brought in a new client and am working 50 hour weeks. Didn’t take most of my vacation days. Decide if it’s worth it to you.
My agency consistently does merit increases and bonuses for all roles unless there are major performance issues that are being actively addresses. Anyone telling you bonus is dead or only for creative is wrong.
