Any insight into L5 comp within Partnerships?
I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

I have been working in the construction industry for 2 years under a general contractor. I am wanting to get into consulting and my ideal role would be something like an Associate in Major Projects Advisory with KPMG. I’m curious to know which firms/companies have positions and departments like the one mentioned that I could apply for?
Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

Not crazy, but it all depends on why you're trying to make the career switch. Are you trying to make more money? Do you have a genuine passion for engineering that you'd like to pursue? Are you trying to achieve better work life balance? Are you tired of sales quotas and that kind of hustle?
The question I always ask myself is: If you picture yourself in your current position in 10 years, will you regret not having tried something else? If that answer is "yes" then it's not crazy, and it's worth pursuing.
Depending on what you specialize in as a software engineer, ~5 years will likely get you back or close to that salary range, but obviously also dependent on the company, bonuses, stocks, and other benefits. Ultimately I think a software engineer probably has a higher salary potential in the long run when compared to Sales.
As some points of reference, I have a senior SE friend with 8 YOE making $325k base (full stack, non FAANG, Seattle). My partner is a senior SE with ~7 YOE and makes $260k base (full stack, non FAANG, Seattle). I regularly hear of some Bay Area FAANG salaries hitting $400k+ base for senior SE's.
Best of luck with your decision, and if you choose to do it, your career pivot!!
