Hi,
My last working day was 11th Nov and I submitted my asset to TCS location and got the Initial release letter as well. Later on 17th or 18th of Nov, I got a message from TCS that they have sent the Packing material through Vendor, please accept it.
I didn't accept the material and cancelled it when the delivery boy came to my location.
So, is it going to create any problem in getting reliving letter? Share your thought please

At Deloitte, it's around $82k for a UX Design Consultant right out of college.

Client side: I started at 96k base. After 6 months, I was promoted and my pay went up to 168k base at the same company. Took 1.5 year leave. Came back to agency at 157k
That makes total sense . Your 10 years give you a boost that makes you capable of dealing with big crítica matters - no wonder you took the responsibilities of a director level. A lot of design at higher level is about confidence and the ability to drive it, you clearly have it ! Congrats and yay on having a boss that saw and advocated for you !
Depends on where you are. Here’s a real world example:
I graduated May 2020 and had 3 offers
1.) Venture for America (would put me in a major city, but not NYC or SF): 40k start as a ux designer
2.) medium (~500 by employees) sized tech company in Southeast USA: 50k
3.) Large tech (not FAANG, but still top ~10 largest SaaS): 102k
That’s where I work! Did you take the job?
I make 75k and a UX Consultant at a larger management consulting firm in the Midwest :) there’s one data point for you
For agencies in NY it can start around 65-70k . If you have an outstanding portfolio, even if not real projects - it can push you to 90k
In that case : have a clear and straightforward explanation of why your portfolio isn’t representative of your skills. It can actually be the Reason you are looking for a new job. Being super honest : imagine we don’t have a lot of time - I want to look at only 2-3 projects, and decide if there’s something then to start a full hiring process. I can assure a lot of my friends are the same, so if you don’t have anything to fit in those 3 buckets by all means find a open source project or even a personal project and re/design something interesting. For UX is a bit trickier, so write about process and show some deliverables to spark the conversation.
I’d say 75k to 90k is a good starting range. Also depends on your area because the Bay will pay better than the Midwest for example.
