The only reason a PIP exists is so that your company has a written record of informing you that your job is in jeopardy before they fire you. Definitely below 20% survival rate. That said, surviving a PIP is possible. Hard, but possible.
Yeah, it's possible. There is usually, or should be, a process that happens before someone is put on PIP. At least in my company, we try to avoid it as much as possible.
If you are on a PIP you should consider looking at other opportunities outside of your current employer.
While I agree with less than 20%, it's all about your mindset. PIPs can really help you perform. Both times I was mad at myself for my lack of results and used them as opportunities to improve.
You put yourself on PIP??

Gotta be below 10%
It's below 10% here. Might even be lower than that. I have only seen one people do it.
It happens, but the problem is, from what I have seen, when people get on it, they give up. PIP is supposed to help, but it doesn't really do that. People just shut down when you tell them they are on PIP.
I was put on a PIP, then after a few weeks my boss was really happy with my performance. Suddenly they’ve turned again and now I’m worried. What should I be doing to protect myself?
Hello, there is a bowl “surviving a PIP” with answers and resources
You have to 1. add a reason with your join request or you will not get in (the bowl tries to screen for trolls) and 2. Read the “start here” pinned post before posting into the bowl

Or even look for different roles at your company? Is that possible?!
