I have offers from Amex and GS with similar Fixed component but the joining date of GS is two months after my last day in the current organization whereas Amex joining date is immediate. Should I wait for GS date or go ahead with Amex?

My son and daughter-in-law are buying a house for their future family and I'm trying to convince them a formal dining room looks better and makes things less chaotic in the kitchen, especially with kids. How many homes should you tour minimum, and how many offers did you put in before you closed? I have an associate's degree in graphic design and work designing wedding stationery. I've been at my company since 2016, and am now a design consultant - speaking to customers directly and creating custom artwork and designs for them. Is it misleading to just look at Total Compensation from a $ dollar value/ Total Compensation seems to be much more subjective than base salary in terms of its value. Some factors might be:

RSUs granted on dollar value or by # of shares & stock price trends
Vesting schedule
strike price on ISOs & delta between strike price and real market value

For instance, most of value in Amazon's comp seems to be granted in years 3 & 4, but it's well known that most people last only 2 years max there.

Have met with 5 people for two different teams and another person for another team, all of which I believe are 3 total open positions for 3 different teams.
