The most efficient one is whatever the client will actually read.
Excel file internally but whenever we share it to client: PDF
Google sheets
Google sheets. Viewer/commenting access only.
Smartsheet! It is secure and can be linked to project timelines
Smartsheet! Love it!
What’s wrong with Smartsheet?
Smartsheet, but in a the kanban-style card view. We tag stakeholders, relevant internal staff (i.e. account lead or PM). We can pull reports, filter based on status, etc. It’s worked well for my team!
Google sheets works best for me! Only for status docs though. Everything else is Excel
Google sheets
Google sheets for the win
PMs rule the roost, and they use excel or some smarter version of it, whether that is smartsheet or basecamp, ect.
Personally, my clients never look at it, they rely on teams to walk them through it and I think they could care less what format it's in
IF we have to do status sheets, I like real project management programs like Smart sheet, Trello, Asana, Airtable that make it easy to add items one time, check some boxes to update, and therefore minimizing the constant reformatting that spreadsheets require. My favorite is Airtable.
