As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!

Mom with mentally ill boy (late teens or early 20s) sat a few rows behind me. I want to be sympathetic but 3 hours on a flight with a kid screaming "we're all gonna die" or "I don't want to die". Apparently the pilot was considering returning to airport but the flight attendants came around asking passengers if they wanted to return and nearly everyone said to keep going. Flight attendant told me if he yelled something like "I want you to die" it would immediately trigger a return to airport but what he was yelling was a disturbance but did not constitute a threat so it was fuzzy territory.
I feel bad for the mom. It must be tough. Can't imagine what it's like every day. Once we landed, the kid seemed very sweet and the mom was incredibly apologetic. However even for an experienced flyer hearing that for 3 hours gave me some major anxiety. I even had nightmares that night!
That sounds terrible but I guess you took the right approach there. It can be incredibly difficult for those families

I’d sit in front of a 2 yo and listen to baby sharks and sing with them 🤷🏻♂️
I was flying NYC->some city -> SF. I was in the window seat in economy. This woman, late 20s, had the middle seat. She took her shoes off and had one foot on the arm rest of each side for the. entire. time. The smells were not just coming from her feet. I gave her SO many nasty looks, nothing. Even the flight attendants were clearly appalled. I will never forget it. Thank baby J for that layover.
Gosh! I wonder how this lady’s version of the story would be: I was in a flight to SAN Fran after I crazy party last night and I sat down doing my fav yoga pose and everyone kept staring at me because I am so flexible. Grow up people!!
Enjoyed the warmth of a man's ample love handles while sitting in the middle seat
Did you pay extra for that added bonus...? 😉
I was on an international flight and a woman brought on a yapping chihuahua. It was a 10 hour flight and the thing barked the entire time. All she would do to quiet it was to say shh. So 10 hours of "yip yip yip yip yip shhhh" Did I mention it was an overnight flight? 🤬
Hahaha I hope it wasn’t as terrible as it sounds
Happened very recently during the pandemic: “hippie” American couple behind me with a newborn baby (I’m in Europe). They smelled foul. Like about-to-make-me-barf-in-my-mask bad.
They were clearly against modern cleanliness methods, as they refused to clean their hands with the wipes the airline provides due to Covid.
They were also discussing if they should “pay 200€ for basically taking a shower at a hotel” or sleep at the airport (with a newborn!!!)
