Most of the time while delegating work, it feels like I'm just pushing my work onto them. I know that's not the case but these are some of the insecurities I've faced especially when I was still new in my role. Also the legit fear of not completing your tasks/projects in time because your team has not worked on their given tasks. All of this reflects badly on the person in charge.
Making difficult decisions under pressure can be fun, but it can also be so nerve racking! It's great when everything goes smoothly, but having to take responsibility when things don't go so well... well, that's not so fun.
Ironically, talking to people with a lot of "feeling framing". Neurodivergent. It took me a LOT of years to learn that just getting to the crux of the problem right off the bat isn't enough, there's sooo much coaching and leading people to the problem AND you can't be too direct bc you'll be considered too blunt and "not nice".
(I'm female and POC btw so all those stereotypes also applies externally)
Such a pita but 🤷♀️gotta get the job done somehow... And if you can't do it alone....😮💨
