What resources do you use to learn about and keep up with the devices used in healthcare?

I have a large cardiac history but it's been a while. Now that I'm back in cardiology I need to brush up, but cracking a text book for fun doesn't sound...fun.

YouTube channels? Pod casts?

OP I hate to admit that I am this big of a nerd but I actually like cracking open textbooks. I can't listen to podcasts because I have bad ADHD and for some reason I need to see the writing to learn. However if anyone knows of any fun YouTube Channels I would love to check them out. Reading textbooks does get quite boring.

You can also download the transcript of their podcasts/YouTube video and read it while listening or read it on your free time.

Try these
1. YouTube Channels: MedCram, Dr. John Campbell, and CardioVisual.
2. Podcasts: The Curbsiders, Cardionerds, and Medscape Cardiology

I have a Q that I worry is going to make me sound like a jerk, but want some opinions. I do strength training 2x/wk with a trainer who was assigned to me at a gym where I bought a pack of sessions. I don’t really consider myself “his” client bc the relationship is managed by the gym… but lately he keeps saying like “I can’t wait to see what my clients give me for Christmas” and I find it super awkward. I pay $150 per session for these workouts (cont’d in comments)…

If I do boot camp T/Th (10 lb dumbbells, typically full body strength but occasionally emphasis on one area + hiit), what workouts should I be doing mwf? I had been running but now I’m wondering if I should try to do more strength training. It would be very challenging for me to make it to a gym but I have weights/peloton at home. I’m female. Weight is healthy BMI but on the brink of overweight with all my extra weight being legs and butt.

I got rejected for an interview from Big 4 NY Audit, even had referrals from Manager + level people. 3 years w/ audit senior at mid size firm, 2 years fed tax at big 4, and 1.5 years Internal Audit healthcare. I might get roasted for asking such a basic question but - how much do you budget for eating out ($ amount or % of budget)?

Pre pandemic I was traveling 5 days a week and just used left over per diem on the one night I went out with friends at home. During covid I stayed home. Now that I’m fully vaccinated and are many of my friends they want to go out to eat/drink. During covid I moved from a LCOL to here so I’m experiencing delayed sticker shock at the prices. Any tips?

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.
