I would reply "what the fuck is THE Pwc?"
Why did you allow me in your office to interview me in the first place?
The ship is sinking!
It's a tough question and I've wondered myself...if it's only money, it's hard to answer. You can say "pwc is great, but I have friends at this firm, which spoke to the great culture and I've read how much ur investing in area xyz and that made me very interested and know I can have long term growth here"
1. Culture
2. bureaucracy
3. No fun working with restricted entities
4. Hard to carve your own path when staffed in random projects
5. You want to specialize vs be generalist (maybe?)
"I've made a terrible mistake"
You should know the answer. Be honest.
Just be honest. Isn't that the whole point of an exit interview? Don't diss the firm of course coz you don't want to burn any bridges but tell them what doesn't go with your interests, ideas and personality.
"Its not what I thought it would be"
Maybe say something about a more diverse project pipeline or a pipeline in general.
Highly doubtful they would know people you allude to PWC7, but if I am interviewing you and you respond to this question by name dropping I would be concerned.
It took me that long to realize your firm is at the leading edge
Why do you want to leave?
Then once you know... say that
^this isn't for an exit interview
Short term job hopping is a red flag when I'm presented a resume of a potential candidate
op- A2 has the perfect answer. Use that one if you can and some of the other ones are really good as well. I say go for it!
whatever you do dont bad talk individuals at your current firm, your interviewer might know the people you allude to, and it makes you look untrustworthy (cuz for all they know you might leave there in 9 mos too). focus on the positives of the new place rather than the negatives of the old
