Is the SPHR or PHR license necessary to pivot into human capital? I have a MBA from a Top 15 school. Any thoughts?
How many years of modeling experience in the big 4 will lateral to Associate level investment banking and will the pay be different from a post-MBA first year associate?
is Bain really so far behind mck/BCG? surely doesn't matter that much, particularly at the pre-MBA or immediately post-MBA level
MD or MBA? I got into both. I know most will say choose the MD, but hear me out: MD: I'd have to go into a specialty to have a good IRR given my salary & the $200K+ debt. By the time I'd be done with residency the US may be in a single payer system. US doctors make 3x the amount in France and 2x vs UK.. I currently make what a doctor makes in France. That could be the future here, too. MBA: 1 yr. Europe. I'd make about 15-20% more vs. now.
Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question, but engineering MS degree (e.g. applied stats, CA) vs MBA if I wanted to do product management? I am a 2nd year BA looking to go back to the States via grad school (was initially kicked out cuz of Trump) so debating which option would be better if i wanted to transition into PM. My undergrad major was Econ
Thoughts on Prosci or SHRM-SCP certification? Which would be considered more valuable or highly regarded? Currently focused on Change Management but have a HR background (industry experience / area of study in college).
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Need advice on whether or not to use an MBA consultant. Any opinions / thoughts appreciated! Situation: just turned down a promotion and quit my job because it doesn’t align with my career goals and was becoming a waste of time. Planning on spending the next 10 weeks studying for GMAT and applying for new jobs/volunteering, then applying R2 for 2021. I have a 3.9 GPA in a non-traditional major (French lit) from a “fake Ivy.” Only M7s I’m interested in are Kellogg and Sloan. (Cont.)
I want to do a online/ part-time graduate program while doing my full-time job. Would like to know what non-MBA programs are other folks pursuing, if any.
For those whose firms sponsor H1B at the analyst level - how common is this? My firm says they don’t do it until the MBA level because of “prevailing wage” issues, but the analyst comp differences aren’t that different that I know of. Appreciate any insights on this!
Hoping to seek everyone’s advice here! I recently moved in-house and have more free time to invest in myself. Which direction would you suggest that I look to for growth? - UX/UI - Coding - Data Analytics - SHRM - PMP - Others?
Applying for NYU One Year Tech MBA for May 2021 start. I’m currently making 120k. I can probably hit 200k in 5 years but I’m also 34. Is it worth it to get my MBA and pay 140k to work at MBB or FAANG?
Need Advice: I recently cleared the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam which inspired me to go for one other cert in the cloud world. However, I am confused if I should go for the next AWS cert (Solutions Architect) vs Google’s Cloud Digital Leader cert? Can anyone recommend anything here? Goal is to move out of consulting asap and get into FANG. TIA!
Thinking of applying to MBA next fall after two years of consulting post-undergrad. 760 GMAT, 3.3UGPA, with a Master's Degree. Realistically, with only two years of work experience and a 3.3 GPA, are H/S out of the question? Am I out of the running for M7? And if so, how can I strengthen my application now for the fall? Should I wait another year or two?
Is there a standard package for strategy and ops role at FB (4 years post MBA)? I just have no context on what base/bonus might be and what is standard in terms of stock/signing bonus. Thoughts?
Is it possible to go from Big 4 consulting to MBB, or would you have to get an MBA to make that shift?
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad

Anyone have advice about the process for moving in-house at Apple? Soon-to-be 6th year securities/investigations associate at V20 (lateraled from a V10) with FAANG (but not Apple) client experience who would appreciate intel on process, likelihood of success, and Apple in-house culture.

I’m currently FT at an agency I really want out of. I have an opportunity to go freelance for a 3 month contract (with the potential to renew) for a big brand that pays very well + offers benefits. A big part of me wants to go for it knowing that I’ll continue my conversations I’ve been having with other agencies and cross my fingers something works out for a full time gig once my contract is up. The anxious part of me is very nervous about that uncertainty. Cont...
