In the new Facebook Insights tool, "engagement" refers to the number of interactions (such as likes, comments, and shares) that your content receives on Facebook. It measures the level of interaction that users have with your content, and it's an essential metric for assessing the effectiveness of your social media strategy.
On the other hand, "engaged users" refers to the number of unique users who have engaged with your content over a specific period. This metric includes users who have liked, commented, shared, or clicked on your content. It's important to note that engaged users are counted only once, regardless of how many times they interacted with your content.
The difference in numbers between "engagement" and "engaged users" is likely due to the fact that a single user can have multiple engagements with your content. For example, if a user likes and comments on a post, that would count as two engagements, but only one engaged user.
Overall, both engagement and engaged users are important metrics for assessing the effectiveness of your Facebook content. Engagement provides insight into the level of interaction that your content is receiving, while engaged users provide insight into the reach of your content and how many unique users are interacting with it. I hope that helps!
