Does anyone use quickbooks to calculate their annual P&Ls and other tax stuff? Do you find it’s better than just an excel template?Any other programs people like?

Huge fan of Quickbooks online. Using it to track expenses, estimate quarterly taxes, send invoices and take payments. It’s very cheap for a single-member LLC with no contractors.

I track my S-Corp in it. Create invoices, log expenses, and track P&L. I pay $20/month which is expensive but it works for me. I don’t do payroll or send out the invoices through them which costs more money. QB worked better than some free options when I tested it out. Maybe now that I know a bit more I could switch (since I know the features I actually need) but ultimately it’s not that much money for me to pay.

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

I finally have an extra room to set up a home office. I’m looking at motorized standing desk, but there are so many options out there that it is overwhelming. What’s your recommendation for an L-shaped desk?

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?
