What is the eligibility to promote from AM to DM in Deloitte India?

Feeling so burnt out and unmotivated. But I'm scared to leave PA when the market is so volatile rn and it has been ingrained in us that there is no career growth if you go industry. Any advise pls?

I joined EY GDS on august 2nd 2021 as advanced analyst for US taxation. I don’t have enough hours but I have over all 3 years of experience (2.7 Deloitte and Ey - August 2021 till now) in US tax and very good feedback untill now. Is there a possibility to get senior promotion this year?
If over all hours is the only main criteria then I would not get this year?

Where do strategists typically go next for career client-side wise?
What types of roles should I be applying for...product marketing, insights, brand managers, director marketing and what level?

Would you take a job as someone still new to the field that had better pay, growth potential, and better benefits from a more prestigious organization/agency if the commute was an hour? You also wouldn't have the potential to telework because of the highly classified work you'd be doing.

Has anyone gone back to school for their MBA? Did help further your career?

I’m former PwC CMAAS. I left to industry and do not like it, and am strongly considering returning to public.

I think a return to public means I want to stay until partner.

As much as I liked CMAAS, I think Deloitte ARA has more room for growth given that the practice is newer (or at least it seems newer from my perspective.). CMAAS is a well oiled machine and it seems like they make few partners compared to other firms.

Curious to here experiences of Deloitte ARA folks.

I entered law school in my late 30's as a second career. I have strong pre-law experience (Executive of small company, 60 employees, $4m budget, MBA, etc.) and law school credentials (Top 10%, Managing Editor of Law Review). I'm willing to make less coming out of school than I did before, but want to ultimately land as in-house counsel with a decent wlb and make $200k+. I'm looking for advice on the best path to get there and how long I can expect it to take.

7th year of H1b and have I140 PD in June 2020 (Chinese)... getting tired of my current job and want to do a MBA then switch career. Is it still possible? Would I be able to extend my H1b after I graduate say two years later for a new employer, even if the job has completely changed - say from business consultant to a tech manager? Can I still retain my PD if filing for a new Perm?

Does where you get your masters degree matter? I’m in an online environmental science masters program at an expensive “name-brand” school, but have colleagues telling me I should transfer to a less expensive program to save $ because no one cares about where your degree is from. Aside from the cost of it, I like my program, and the fact that I’m now connected to an incredible alumni network. And not gonna lie, I like the clout. Thoughts?

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I’ve been in the HVAC industry for 11 years with 10 of those in the field as a technician. As a technician I was considered very capable and was always considered one of the best where ever I worked. I’ve spent 4 years in Big 4, with about half that time in FDD. I feel like Corp Dev is what I ultimately want, but am wondering if a stint in banking could be worth it. If I’m not interested in PE or other buyside alternatives, is the pit stop in IB worth it?

My symptoms were perhaps confused with postbpatrum and nursing hormone symptoms but bow my hair is dry and frizzy yet somehow also oily and my skin lacks luster and I gain weight so easily.
