House cleaners. 100% worth it. Maybe not perfect job, but the fact I/we don’t have to do it and all the likely arguments are avoided
Every 3 weeks for us. $120 each time. Best money I’ve ever spent.
Splurging on international vacations. As long as I keep my fixed costs low and hit my annual investment goal, I love to spend more on travel.
I do this too. Live frugally most of the time and splurge on vacations. My savings are automatic and get done before any expenses
Getting two hotel rooms on family vacations. There are 5 of us and my youngest is too big to squeeze three into one bed.
Experiences are worth it and everyone needs to get a good nights sleep to enjoy it fully.
yeeees, we do this too. also a family of 5.
Quality groceries
This! Once we had our son, I looked more closely at the food we were consuming and feeding to our baby and once you go down that rabbit hole, it’s hard to come back!
Very happy to splurge on organic, grass fed, farmers’ markets, etc. And cooking at home is still more economical than delivery or eating out.

Direct flights and hotels in more convenient locations. I dont want to spend my vacation figuring out public transportation or missed connections

@md Im not against public transit, but Id like to stay in the city versus venturing far out. For example when I went to London when I was fresh out of college I stayed at a hostel in zone 2 of the london tube. When I went back a few years ago we stayed in zone 1 by St Paul's and used the tube to get around
First class flights. I know, I know....
Are there any tricks to get the first class or business class tickets a bit cheaper?
HVAC. Grew up basically never using heat, and we didn't own AC. Lots of summer nights were spent sweating in bed for hours until I drifted off for maybe 1/4 of the night.
Got AC when my wife was pregnant the first time. Never going back
This month I will bill around 250 hours. The creep is really more of a necessity if I’m going to have any semblance of a life.
If you live in a major city I’d look into some local home made packaged meals. Some people do it out of their home. It usually comes out to about restaurant price or a bit lower but the ingredients are better. I ate out significantly for a few years and found this to be a better option. Someone in my building does mainly Italian dishes. A friend referred me to a Lebanese lady. And also found an Asian lady. May have to go pick up.

Pendantic point: I don't believe you can have "creep" and be able to accurately pinpoint it. In my mind, "creep" is something that happens accidentally vs deciding to increase your spending level after weighing the options.
Choosing a better daycare for your kid or adding house cleaners because you now make $200k vs $50k isn't creep on my opinion
House cleaners on a $200k salary is very doable in most areas. Can’t speak for New York or Cali. In Atlanta $200k goes a long way especially if you have a mortgage that’s less than $2500. I got laid off but at $185k with two kids in private school I could still afford to get the cleaner to come every 6 weeks for $250 for 4 bed 3.5 bath home
3 for me: grocery delivery, house cleaners, and a mobile barber.
Instacart!!!
Takeout. So much takeout.
House cleaner, spending on gadgets like robo rock, organic food
Europe / Caribbean twice or three times per year
Any recs for Italy? Going to Florence/naples area in May

Food. Lol
Drive and park a garage in the city. Parking in Boston was so expensive that I used to just use public transportation.
I’ve been buying discounted gift cards for DoorDash and uber eats and ordering delivery. It’s still often more than ordering pickup directly even with the discount (although not always with added promos), but I consider the markup and tip with the discount to be a reasonable cost for the delivery portion.
Snow Birding during the winter.
