10% is standard. May deviate up or down a bit but it’ll be challenging for your manager to get more given they are probably fighting pretty hard to get you a promotion at all.
Raises to the next level are 10-12%. That is a huge jump from $85K to $110k. If you have a great client, don’t jump because the money is lower. There is a lot you can gain. Continue to build strong relationships with as many clients as possible. As an account sup you will have more 1:1 interactions, you’ll start getting noticed for being “strategic”, seeing the big picture and your reputation at the client will grow. Clients will rely on you more. Agency salaries are less about how much work you have to do. To get more money, you need to demonstrate client’s confidence in you and growing your business. It will be easier to do this with your current client rather than starting all over at another agency. If you can demonstrate client confidence, seeing the big picture and bringing in organic growth, if they don’t pay you $$$, you can leave for an increase easily more than $25k.
You’re probably looking at 95-120k depending on if they also have an in-between layer like management supervisor before account director. If so, probably on the lower half of that range. If not, probably on the higher end of that range.
Are you at a holding company agency or independent? If the former, the funding for. Comp increases has already been decided at this stage, more than 10% is very unlikely unless you are vital and come up with a counter.
+1 for this. Get the promotion first, then leave.
