According to Century Group, the range in northeast for Tax Manager in PA, with a large firm, is from $104K to $152K (includes bottom percentile in Pennsylvania and top percentile in NY...Boston is middle of range, and this is for manager, not senior manager)
BDO1if you come straight out of college it will be hard to keep up with everyone around you unless you are getting double digit increase every year. When individuals move B4 they normally get 20% approx. So when you are 6 years in straight out of college you will be behind someone who work at another B4 and left and moved to your company after 2 or 3 years because they received the your coming from our competitors bump. And if they moved twice over 6 years it will be even bigger. Now they are a S3 working after 5 or 6 years making 20k more than you.
For a 2nd or 3rd year manager maybe but you would've had to switch firms (probably twice or more) to get 142 as a first year manager outside of NYC
The guy who said 142 probably came from industry with a specialty and got shafted down to manager position. B4 does that. 142 is more SM/DR1 or year 2.
For a second I thought it was 107 as a s1 and was about to to lose it. Lol
Location?
Tax. You're getting screwed bro.
You are about 15 to 20k below range.
Wow. I guess time to start looking for new jobs.
You need to move and get at least 20% from competitor. And if you do not like it bounce back. However, you need to get your money situation together.
Yes 142K for Texas seems so high. I was expecting more like 100K for M1.
I'm an A1 and make 64k in tax. 80k is low
^true dat
NYC tax specialty group, Experienced hire at S1, just promoted to manager $107k
142k can't be true unless you somehow found a way around the salary banding EY employs. M1 in Chicago tax and for this next year if I include PBB I'll just break 100k.
Northeast
At M1 I was at 142k, Texas. Bonus was in the 6-8% range.
Are you serious? I'm at 80K as S3 in NE region. Are you in tax or consulting?
80k as an S3 is low. Did you start with EY out of school? EY OP?
Yes. My raise in the last 2 years have been shitty but I've gotten 3.
