Probably doesn't know your name....
Our partner emailed the entire team which is what should be done
Partner thanked who was responsible to him/her. The senior forwarded to recognize and share thanks with those responsible to him/her. Senior should have CC'd partner to acknowledge your contribution and it also makes them look good as sharing the credit.
@Partner Yup, he knows my name. Also, it's easy to peak at the database and see who completed the provision and the other load of workpapers.
Whatever... but that's the difference between the people I want to work with and people that make me wish I worked somewhere else!
That's cause those with the most amount of hours were eating all the budget /s
It is hit and miss. Don't take it personally.
That's on your senior and manager. Don't be too bummed OP, it's clear that you have a decent partner who appreciates your team. He knows you face and that's what matters too!
OP.. that happens. Sometimes the partner doesn't remember every name, so he sends it to the senior managers and managers and they forward it on to the team. Relax.
@OP I know that as a staff you place a lot of your job satisfaction on the behavior and feedback of a partner. You'll soon realize to get over that. When you get to know a partner well, you learn that they have so much pressure and other priorities that they just can't get to know or care about every single staff. It's not about rank, but if they don't often interact with you one on one, there's just not enough time in the day for them to know you. Be happy that your senior appreciates you.
our audit partner used to email the team saying, "great job" after the financials were filed. hes stopped doing it
No he doesn't PwC, where do I get the strong koolaid from?
I like Partner's 2 take on it. As a senior I wouldn't have the courage to CC the partner but I would have definitely CC'd managers.
One time the partner fucking acknowledged my existence and then I didn't kill myself.
@MA Thank you! No, I'm not killing myself because of this, but I would care more if Partners did as well. Yes, I expect you to know my name if we've been working together for more than 1 yr and if you are the one deciding who gets promoted.
Is this the case everywhere? It's frustrating when your contribution is ignored. 😣😞
Probs getting a 3
I'm not trolling I'm just trying to make readers lead how important it is to acknowledge the hard work of the people on your teams
