PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

It depends what firm you are with, in my experience boutique (A&M etc) > b4 > regional firms (BDO). And CFE adds no value, money wise.

Depends on the firm and also whether you’re a senior or still at entry level. Big 4 probably $60-$80K for an associate and $80-$110K for a senior, with EY being at the low end and PwC on the high end of that scale. You can probably get 25% more at a consulting firm. Places like A&M will probably have lower bases but can pay you 40% more in total comp after bonus
Sounds like a big difference in wages between US and Canada! Thankful for tools like this for increasing transparency- I didn’t think 91k was bad until I’d moved to industry and experienced a bump to $140k. I’d initially put it down to “b4 firms pay poorly” but perhaps I was being underpaid at an individual level too
