Not McCann but I have a few friends there and they say it’s totally dependent on the team/client. Some love it, some are looking to jump ship (or out the window.)
Echoing much of the sentiment already expressed. Depends on account, some have great creative opportunities, others are bureaucratic meat grinders. Culture is a work in progress as it doesn’t really feel like the agency knows what it wants to be in this McCann 3.0(?) 4.0(?). It’s hard when you have like 8 floors and half a dozen subgroups. Net net: positive trajectory but definitely some room for improvement.
I straight up love it. It sucked to start but I moved teams and absolutely adore it. I also don't think we let all the awards get to us...still a lot of really nice, fun people to work with. And the check... God the check #yeslawd
I second pretty much everyone above, it definitely depends on the team, but I absolutely love working at McCann. My work life balance changes with the season, right now it's great, but I've had weeks where I didn't know what time I would get out. Still, I love the people I work with. If you're someone that gets involved, there are a lot of things to get involved with at McCann too & a lot of exciting things happening. My account encourages participation in a lot of those activities, so I feel like there's a great culture here. Also, I've only been at McCann a little over a year - but I do feel like they reward their talent well through pay/compensation. It's the best agency I've worked at so far.
Stay away from Verizon and Choice Hotels.
Good brands are generally NY Lotto, Ulta, Cigna, Nespresso can be good, Chick-fil-A is hit or miss.
McCann XBC is great, awesome people, lots of snacks, good work
Entirely dependent on the account (as it can be most places). Right now I have a good work life balance, but two months ago I was working every weekend
@AccountSupervisor1 True, some teams are great for creative's but not as great for account people, and vice versa. It also depends on what you value as good... Some accounts have crazy hours, but the team/clients/creative is great. But if having a more consistent schedule is the most important thing to you, a team with more regular hours that maybe doesn't have as great of a client/team might feel better to you. The nice thing about McCann right now is that there are definitely multiple "good accounts" and once you're in, if your good, its easier to move around.
Def depends on your team but I like it a lot and the people are pretty nice. 🤗

I came from a more creative agency (whatever that means). What I'm working on isn't going to bring me awards, but goddamn the paycheck is nicer and I leave at a normal hour. ASD is right - depends on the account you're on. People on my team are great, but it is lacking a culture (something I miss)
So which clients/teams are the good clients/teams?
Yeah, I keep hearing it depends on the account. It would be great to hear what some of the good/weak accounts are?
Also depends on the department you're in Some brands might be better for some departments than others
For McCann folks, what are good accounts for the creatives?
Can you share the creative recruiter's email addie that would be good to reach out to please?
