I have Amex gold. Great for food, restaurants, groceries, and travel. DM for referral.
Other than that if you only travel and don’t spend much on food, I’d go with Venture X
Does travel not include hotels? Is this true?

I would argue still better than CSR rn given the AF, chase has really fallen behind competition (esp Amex)
I have Amex gold and plat. Have my uncle and sister as users on the plat since they travel so much but i keep the points 😉
If you don't wanna pay the big sapphire reserve/ amex platinum fee, I'd recommend getting an airline cc that has a hub in your city (i.e Delta in Atlanta, united in Chicago)
If you don't have a good hub then Sapphire preferred comes with a decent sign on bonus and only a $99 fee per year.
Venture x is definitely worth it. Dm me for a referral
I like World of Hyatt. Small footprint, but easily best value in terms of their loyalty program. Happy to give a referral if needed
I think it's something like 30k points if you have $3k credit card spend in first 3 months and another 30k of you spend $15k in 6 months. Good deal if you think about the fact that you can get some rooms for a little as 5k. You get one free night at a Cat 1-4 hotel every year, plus an extra free night if you spend $15k in a calendar year. You need to stay 60 nights to get top tier elite status (globalist) and you start each year with 5 nights counting towards your tier status. You get another 2 nights towards status for every $5k in spend. Globalist status gets breakfast comped for up to 2 adults + 2 children, which I think is the best benefit. For example, Park Hyatt DC's restaurant used to have a Michelin star (lost its rating but still outstanding); their breakfast is fantastic and each person gets $60 for bfast. You also get upgraded to a standard suite based on availability at check in. You can earn suite upgrade awards (SUA) based on number of nights counting towards your tier status. Marriott will let you redeem a SUA, but it's good for 1 night; with Hyatt a SUA is good for 5 or 7 days. Based on availability, you can check in as earl it bas 10am and check out as late as 4pm. Hyatt also treats their elites very well. I took my wife down to a property in San Antonio and told them it was her birthday. They had cupcakes, sparkling water, and her favorite beer sent to the room within minutes after checking in - at no cost. Oh, and if you are staying at a hotel on points or a free night certificate your parking is also comped. Referral link: https://www.referyourchasecard.com/205m/JRY9I9ICH8
I have Amex Gold and CSP, you can get the CSP fee waived if you apply in-person at a chase bank
