I would encourage you to be honest and upfront about it early on so you don't end up getting the job and then losing it because the travel is too much. They might be a little bit flexible, but they very much might not be and it's better to find out beforehand.
The best approach is to be upfront and state your reservation about the travel. It may or may not be something considered negotiable, and it would be good to find out right away. Once you know the company's position you can decide how to proceed.
I would take a pass if it is going to be hard to adjust because when performance reviews come this could hurt then no one is happy.
This. Getting the job at all costs even if it is not a fit for yourself first is a very bad call. Joke is on yourself if you do that
Be honest about your situation and show enthusiasm for the role first. Then ask if there is flexibility on travel or if some trips can be reduced or planned in advance so you can manage both work and family well.
