The real bonus is all the work we made along the way
And all the memories we created together! Priceless
60k, but that was when I worked in finance
Well 60k bonus probably helped with the 40k starting creative salary.
$5K and seeing these $10K+ bonuses is making me think less of that lol. But for perspective, it was a small ad agency that I had been working at for a year with about 5 years prior experience.
The largest bonus I earned was when the company had approx 40 employees . We eventually grew to 150 employees each year the bonus diminished until there was no payout. There is a bell graph of profitability based on size of agency. Small is beautiful .
15k after being awarding 1 million for my organic efforts. Now I feel like a sucker.
15k end of year bonus in 2018, in-house. This year I hope for 15-20k but who knows. Also, I’m a millennial
Free soda. Free toilet paper.

$50k, from a gone-too-soon agency. Every single person received a bonus, there were more than 100 people and we were all partners

Yeah. Landed a massive client that year but then also switched over to in house and it was the best move financially. More money. More work executed. Less hours. Should have done it sooner

$17,000 when I was in my first few years. But not since then. Back before Publicis bought Burnett, creatives (and maybe everyone?) got up to a 30% bonus. I think it was broken down as up to 15% agency performance plus up to 15% individual performance. I got in just as times, they were a-changing
15$chipotle ecrater card that didnt work...
$4k.
Previous employer had this system that they didn’t mention when you sign the contract... Eg. 20% bonus but if the company only makes, say, 50% of it’s target you then only get 50% of your bonus, 60% = 60% bonus etc. Pretty crappy when your company makes massive spends that you didn’t know was on the roadmap or the sales team and client teams had a bad year (and your function is not either of these). Takes the control of the goal out of your hands. Bonuses be ware! Pick into this when you sign your contracts.
