The real bonus is all the work we made along the way
And all the memories we created together! Priceless
I thought my CD took us out for beers but then he asked us to Venmo him

That’s more than I got, but I only worked there 5 years
Millennials don’t get bonuses, they acquire more and more debt and no one gives a shit.
People think it’s our fault and blame us for it.
All we do is try.
Yet all we know is debt.
$20k last year. Big holding-company agencies typically don’t pay out bonuses (or much) because all the profit flows up and out. Independents can still pay out, if you’re lucky and valuable.
Also, wages are down across the board when compared to cost of living staples like healthcare, education and housing—including accounting for inflation. This trend is hurting younger millenials more than established gen Xers. Things like TVs, low-end consumer goods and tech are cheaper (relatively) than they were in years past, but unfortunately Alexa can’t fix my kid’s broken leg....
Is free cold brew and office snacks a bonus
Lol
I’ve never gotten a bonus.
One Christmas Starcom sent every employee at my agency a $20 bill in a blank holiday card
I got $100 cash but it was on my next pay check...and taxed!
My favorite was $5k that was presented as a bonus. A few years later I was informed that the company had been audited and fined for paying women less than men in equal roles. So it was less bonus, more “here’s some loose change for all the money we didn’t pay you”...

Zero. Which is why I negotiate the highest base salary I can. I always assume that I’m not gonna get shit going into a new job

I won a Lion at a Burnett shop which I won’t single out, and we were treated like we owed THEM money. I don’t blame the network, just the management at our specific office.
I'm not really trying to get into this "bonus" thing. It'll mess up all the hardwork I've put into beating my high debt score.
At my first job, my manager was so blown away and perhaps I was so underpaid as as junior that I scored an annual bonus equal to 14 months salary. I was blown away. since then I've gotten huge bonuses, much larger cash sums, but none ever matched the pride, gratitude or elation as that one. it's all relative to expectations, not the amount.
Hot damn. This can happen?
