I just received a new job offer and I am negotiating my base salary. The original offer was a base of 75k with 7.5k sign on bonus. I asked to negotiate closer to an 80k base. The hiring manager said they can do 80k without a sign on bonus.

Is it better to take the 80k base no sign on bonus or 75k base with a 7.5k sign on bonus? (My annual bonus will be 15-20% of my base salary)

Hi! I've been trying to reach the IRS about correcting a name on a return, they won't process my tax return bc of this error. I call the number they provide 800-829-0582 ex. 372 or 772 and when I call i get a message that I need to call the number above. So it's driving me nuts bc it's a literal circle. Maxed out Roth IRA contributions when I wasn't eligible for 2021 (got a salary bump mid year). Do I need to recharacterize? It's a very small account that's been open for only two years. That's the only IRA account I own. Do I need to open a traditional IRA and roll over 6k + realized gains into that account and keep the Roth IRA. So confused how this works and got conflicting information from Merrill.
