Just please don't ever mention the PMP and Lean Six Sigma in the same sentence as the Cfa.
PMP exam is a joke. Lean six sigma is slightly tougher (I have both)...Cfa level 1 is harder than both of them combined, probably one of the hardest exams out there
Lol they have that shit on groupon and livingsocial now if that gives you any idea
Yeah cfa is not comparable to others listed here
A generalist with subject matter certifications is still a generalist.
@M2 I agree, if they lean on the certs. But if they have it as a line on their résumé, it's not a bad thing
I have the CFA charter. CFA1 was a joke. However, my GMAT was top 1% and passing Level 2 and 3 were more difficult than that. 2 of the hardest things I have done in my life.
^ how long dis you take?
Passed all 3 in the 18 month minimum. 3 for 3, no fails
@S&1 same with me wrt going 3 for 3. Do you use the subject matter on your work?
I see them as contra-indicators of skill.
The pmp was easy to get, but people in consulting and clients do respect it bc you understand how to approach a project. I do believe it has helped me continually advance
If you enjoy the study of new concepts and academia in general, go for it. Concepts will come in handy here and there, and you might relate more closely to certain client counterparts. Publicly or within the firm, do not advertise anything but a CFA.
Depends on what you're doing in your life and what your trying to accomplish really... in my example, yes a crap-ton
