When you’re frustrated with a product, do you take that frustration out on the product? Would you go the customer support route?

Form my experience, people take out their frustration on the person least involved with the development of the product aka me, the lowly customer support person

Depends on the company, trying to get Microsoft to help you with anything personally is a total nightmare

As a Customer Support worker, honestly, whenever I have a problem with a product I prefer to google for 2 hours to see if I can solve it myself before bothering someone who is just as underpaid as I am and who has probably had a crappy day.

No, I wouldn't take it out on the customer support team; I know that they have no say in the development and engineering of a product. I'm more likely to contact the company on social media because they really don't want bad reviews, so they tend to respond a LOT quicker if you go that route.

I think everybody does this to some degree, just venting about something that frustrates them. At least I know a lot of my customers do that. People usually don't really take it out on me so much, they just want someone to listen.

Can't even tell you how often this happens to me, where someone is frustrated with a bank policy and they end up yelling at me. It isn't my decision how we run our accounts. The best I can do is not treat others in that way, nothing is more contagious than a bad mood IMO

Hi everyone. I was a solution engineer at Oracle. I graduated from college in May and this was my first job out of college so the lay offs were pretty rough. I would like to stay in tech and I’m giving it a few weeks before I start pivoting to more traditional supply chain roles. Thanks.

I’m interested in becoming a product manager but I don’t think I have the right background. My background is in enablement/product training/L&D. I don’t have a technical background. I work closely with the PMs at my current company and would love to get to do what they do. Is it possible to be a product manager without a technical background? Are there any certification type programs that could boost my credentials and employers would actually care about? Or is this transition a pipe dream?

Hi People,

I wanted to ask a query on how consultants work. A friend of mine is working for a company in Toronto. The work is super hectic. She works for about 12 hours per day. Also, they say she’s not allowed to take days off for a year. Is this even legal?
