I’m about to start an internship at IBM for UX Research. I’m super excited about it, and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the design culture there or how the company is for designers? So far online I’ve only heard about the company from consultants or software engineers. For more reference I’ll be working in Austin.

Performance Transformation, and specifically the PE and TMT teams within are sold out and hiring - can’t speak for Transaction Strategy and the COEs
Performance Transformation is broken out into two categories - Corporate (which is further broken out by industry teams such as TMT, healthcare, etc.) and PE, which spans all industries but primarily deals with PE backed deals & companies. The PE team is ran by EY-P’s old PE leadership team and generally speaking is very old school when it comes to team culture, WLB, etc. The junior staff in particular seem to fit a different mold than other areas of the firm. If you have the option of choosing teams within Strategy, I think the PE team is the most competitive and is the place to be if you’re willing to put the hours in.
Per KPMG1, we hired them for an IT carve out diligence and they did a good job. We hired an MBB for the overall CDD tho if that gives perspective.
