What's the lowest amount you'd go for getting bumped 2 hours? Flying from CLT to EWR and don't have anything urgent, but they're only offering $300

I like traveling, I don't make 150 an hour. I'd take it if it didn't interrupt my job or personal life too much

like

I start listening at $300 if no urgent meetings. Than can be two domestic RT tickets.

Typical AA. 2 hour delay not bad

When traveling for work can we use our personal credit card for expenses or do we have to use the corporate Amex? Also does our corporate Amex get points/perks that we can use for personal usage?

At my fiancés company they are able to use a personal card (which then they get all the points and perks) and then just expensive to they company.

I might get roasted for asking such a basic question but - how much do you budget for eating out ($ amount or % of budget)?

Pre pandemic I was traveling 5 days a week and just used left over per diem on the one night I went out with friends at home. During covid I stayed home. Now that I’m fully vaccinated and are many of my friends they want to go out to eat/drink. During covid I moved from a LCOL to here so I’m experiencing delayed sticker shock at the prices. Any tips?

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
