I’m having a hard time understanding the salary /TC ranges for mid- to senior-level strategy positions in the Denver area (10-15 YOE). They seem to vary a lot, and are broadly low vs. other markets (mid $100k-low $200k vs TC closer to $300-$400k+ on the coasts). Any observations? I had a behavioral interview with a manager from another team and a case study with the hiring manager. They both took notes as I gave my answers but the first manager was very disinterested from the get go and was distracted as he kept looking away from the screen.

I have a final round at another firm on Monday (fastest they can do) that I would prefer, both because of the work and the pay. Is it really bad to accept one offer and then potentially cancel it if I get a better offer a day or two later?
