Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

When I was looking earlier this year for senior roles a lot of industry places topped at 95-105K. Even the F500 ones. When pressed they said "It's because you'll do less then in public and it's market rate".
I seen those roles get filled so I think their are plenty of PA people willing to take the 95k to get out of public.
Changed firms and now making 120k. Think I'll wait until manager to try again.
This is for Tax
Yeah, having the same internal dilemma about waiting till manager. Seems like the pay bump for manager is much more significant when exiting B4, wondering if I’m losing out on upward mobility by leaving too early
For context, an a S2 at B4 looking to exit. I feel like all the roles I’ve looked at top out at 100K, is that really what industry is paying right now? Feels low
Rates are higher but the more known the company the compensation goes down. Especially if you are applying to be a general senior accountant. If you go into a technical role or reporting role you might get a little more money. Also look into tech companies. They tend to pay more too.
