Looking for a Program Manager (or the like) role at Microsoft but can’t break the through the normal channels of applying on their website. Have over 15 years of relevant program/project management experience, mostly IT and/or cyber. Targeted resume to multiple roles but zero calls. And ideas on what else to do?

I recently saw a job opening at a company that I really love, and would like to apply. The recruiter has posted it on her Linkedin several times, each time with multiple hashtags about diversity. I am straight off the Mayflower white. Does applying look super tone-deaf? Is this an unofficial way of stating that they’re only considering non-white individuals for the role?

I attended a client interview last week and was selected for the same. Now they are asking to join within a day or two. I'm having my mom's surgery this week. How to safely refuse to join this client project for at least 10 days. I can't take leave for 10 days.
