I’m just going with whatever body I have on my wedding day. One downside to losing a ton of weight for your wedding is that you probably won’t be able to maintain it and every time you look back at pictures, you say, “Oh man, I wish I looked that good now,” and feel sad. I’ve got enough going on with wedding planning that dieting is not part of the plan. My dude loves me at any size (and it’s changed over the course of our relationship), so I’m not going to worry about it.
My dress isn’t particularly tight, so I’m not worried about it. I’m buying a dress I’ve already picked out online a few months out with custom sizing. I work out six days a week and eat a pretty healthy diet already, so there’s not much more for me to do.
The body I have now is the one he’s getting. It took me a long time to feel good as a curvy gal, and I’m not interested in going back to a place where much of brain space is fixated on how I look/ how others think I look.

I think it depends on your goal, motivation, and amount of time/resources you have available.
I started about 60 days out, but had a greater emphasis about 30 days out. In the past, I’ve noticed I can get in shape with 3 consistent weeks of exercise/healthy diet. My main wedding goal was to tone my arms and back (most visible in photos for my dress). Since I normally workout 3x a week, the last two months were really just a push to do more cardio and weight training, improve my diet, and destress.
Drinking waayyy less beer
I didn’t do anything different. There is enough to stress about.
I’m 5 months out and am committing to working out 4-5x week, getting on a Botox schedule, doing some light non invasive skin stuff. Other than that, I echo the above, way less drinking, way more water!
Sooo I slacked and had to panic lose weight so I did cryo, infrared, and some other hot/ice things like much cheaper cool sculpting at this place in Jersey as well as swimming (I couldn’t lift and risk “bulking” sadly - learned the hard way between fittings)
C1 - it made about an inch of difference which is what I needed! I also just like the cryo part - but the targeted stomach thing (pagani tshock) seemed to help the most. All had them blast my back with targeted cryo since it was tight there. Prob the infrared sauna helped the most with the last minute fit but I did lose 5lbs in a month from just doing regular cryo
I didn't do anything different. I try to excercise and maintain a (somewhat) healthy diet year round.
I’m a week and a half out from my wedding but I started working out everyday (going from 3-4x week to doing something everyday like abs, cardio, etc). I don’t really have a goal weight but I’m down 7 lbs, have been eating salads once a day and my core feels stronger. I started doing salads once a day maybe three weeks out and that’s helped reduce the amount that I need to get full. I also started strength training three weeks out twice a week in addition to my normal exercise. I’m okay with where I am now but after my wedding, I’ll take a mini break with working out intensely like this.
I ate what I want especially on vacation in Italy so I really had to cut back and gained about five pounds. If there’s something I’m craving, I usually have it but in moderation now. In these past two weeks I have really tried to not eat unhealthy so I think when it’s crunch time, you’ll definitely be more aware of what you’re eating. I’m also have a piece of strawberry shortcake tonight but going to share with my fiancé instead of the whole slice (little changes like this is ok)
