Before, early as possible and include them throughout the process. Have an ongoing list of customers that want to be involved at all times. We reach out on a weekly basis sometimes with new ideas / concepts.

Waaaay before beta.
As soon as a feature or product has been greenlit internally as something worth pursuing with a good hypothesis for customer value (and usually this is already because we've been hearing pain points or ideas from customers), the first thing we do is run it through our customer advisory board or set up a small focus group of customers who have mentioned this pain point or need in the past. If it's a totally new idea, we typically start with design mockups presented at our customer advisory board to gauge genuine interest and determine actual use cases for the ideas.
With customer feedback + internal strategy / feasibility discussions, THEN we move into design prototype and/or engineering MVE depending on the feature. Beta is so late stage, and the feedback we gather during Beta is really to fine tune and figure out what improvements to prioritize for the next iteration, or see what we can/must add for first release to be valuable.
Thanks your advice for each phases. Actually we are developing MVP, and want to figure out some usability problems, also built a channel for getting continuous feedbacks.
