Remember that your PTO is a benefit that you are fully entitled to take. Just bring it up. It shouldn't be an issue - especially since you're giving so much notice.

I was in a similar boat - started in-house in early January last year and had a 10-day trip planned for late April. I mentioned it to my boss right when I started and it wasn’t a problem at all. Enjoy your trip :)
