I have an albatross and 4 ‘from the fairway’ eagles, but zero holes in 1 🥲
(45 years old, started playing at 11)
I’ve had two holes in one about 5 years apart, 2014 and 2019. I started playing when I was 12, but not regularly until the last 15 years or so. There’s still hope for you!
I am 59 and played for years. I have never had an albatross, although I’ve come close a few times, had a number of eagles (two on par fours) and finally 6 years ago snagged a hole in one. I’ve come close a couple of more times since. Hang in there. It will probably happen when you least expect it.
Never had an albatross but did get one eagle from the fairway. I feel like an albatross is pretty much the same as a hole in one.
This whole thing got in my head because the last two rounds I played my golf buddy who just took up the game in 2020 had two almost aces.
I’ve been golfing for a couple years (like over 100 rounds per year though), and I’ve been within 3 feet maybe 5-7 times. Got an ace this year but it was at an executive course, on an 80 yd hole - not sure if that fully counts…
Par 3 ace counts no matter the course type in my book
