Hi Guyz,
Any one from IBM ?
I went through the entire recruitment process and got selected for IBM ISL. Now I am being told by the HR that they are unable to release offer as there is a hiring freeze.
Can any one please tell me if its correct or just an excuse not to give me offer. If its true, when will this freeze be removed?
Anyone got recruited for Pune location recently? My interview process has been completed and asked for documents on 23rd Dec, but till now I haven’t got any update after that. Today i called HR and they said manager has not provided any update on my application. Should i wait for the offer letter or look opportunity in another organisation? Deloitte Deloitte India

Fall senior year
Rising Star
Depending on your major, most companies recruit seniors for full time positions in the fall and winter. Junior get recruited for summer internships in the fall and winter of their junior year. Check to see when UH has career fairs and other opportunities.
Fall senior year. If it's not too late I hope you've locked in internship in the summer before senior year
I currently work full-time and also have a part-time job. So internships aren’t something I can really do.

Freshman year of college
The issue for me is that I can’t just get any internship. I can’t leave my full time job for an internship and hope that my job will still be there for me. My part time job, maybe, but not my full time job and risk losing my health insurance and my tuition reimbursement benefits.
Do the math. How much tuition reimbursement are you getting now and how much of a cut would it be to get an internship / co-op? How much more would you likely make after graduating and in the long run from having that relevant experience?
College shouldn’t be something you just check the box on. Invest to make sure you get the right ROI out of it.
Focus on securing internships during freshmen-junior year. Typically, this is a pipeline for full-time positions. Drop the part time position, this will probably pay 2x. Anyways, you apply for jobs from beginning to end of senior year. The sooner, the better.
