I was an AE for 3 years with only one 5% raise before being promoted to SAE, I left that company one year after that and got 35% bump plus a AS role (that was 9 months ago). Unless you love where you’re at I think you’ll (usually) always get more $ by jumping ship rather than waiting for raises etc..
*been at 3 agencies - Regular merit raises, or any strong career advance plan in place, are in my experience non existent.
Trying to get my bearings on what is 'normal'. My last raise was Fall 2021 😐 2.5% 😑
March
Lol never unless I was moving agencies
Im an SAE now, but ~Fall 2021😐
Last year.
When I changed agencies
I'm not sure if it was a merit increase or a promotion. I think it was just a pity raise that my boss gave me because I was so overworked and underpaid.
When I leave agencies
Whenever I've started a new job, I've learned that it's important to take charge of your own growth. Rather than letting a company use excessive overtime as a tool to dangle promotions, consider proactively seeking opportunities for personal and professional advancement.
