Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Btw, see you in 5 minutes, thank for waiting 😜
Update: we met after about 25 mins and the interview actually went pretty well. We’ll see what happens. 🤞🏽
I disagree BBDO. Meetings do not take priority over an interview. It is a meeting. It was scheduled. On your calendar. That person likely had to take a day/part day off to come in and interview. This is why the process of interviewing takes so damn long. Talent is important to the success of any agency and the recruitment of talent is part of that. We all believe our meetings are so important. But keeping someone waiting half an hour? And then we all moan and groan about how badly we’re treated. If the candidate had shown up half an hour late they would not get the job.
Would be hilarious if AGS1 was actually the interviewer and was late just bc he/she was reading Fishbowl
This happened to me once at an agency that was actively recruiting me. It happened once and I felt like - okay shit happens, it’s advertising, no biggie. After the second time it happened it was pretty clear that either they were underwater in a very bad way or had no respect. It was for Head of Department role so found it super weird. I told recruiter I wasn’t coming back. Best move ever.
Would make this Post the best ever
20 minutes is nothing. Meetings and clients take priority so... but after about 45 you might want to ask of you should reschedule.
Walked out of an interview after a half hour with no indication of any rescheduling of acknowledgment of the delay. Granted it was when I was just starting out so less to lose.
Your time has value, don’t let anyone treat you like it doesn’t. If they’re really interested and want to have you back they’ll be contrite and now you’ve got the power in the discussion
Wait, assume the person is running over due to a business reason, but still rude of them
did you reach out to the person?
Dotards.
@CL1, I agree that's how things should be, but when you are with clients and presenting you go with it. Clients often are coming in from all over the place and it probably took forever to set up a meeting with 5, 10, 50 people... Clients set the pace, and take priority, else no one will be hiring much of anyone.
