W, St. Regis, or Las Alcobas in Mexico City? Also open to high-end boutique hotel recommendations...
Getting ready to travel for a shoot. And the covid rules are hella confusing. If I am fully vaccinated do I still need to get a negative covid test to board the plane with major airlines?
Thoughts on starting a mileage run bowl? I’m traveling considerably less this year for work but don’t want to lose EP on American..
Delta announced that they’re fining unvaccinated employees $200 a month. Probably easier to just mandate vaccines for anyone who flies on their airline, but this is a good step.
Just upgraded to the Amex Platinum - do I need the physical card to enter into the Delta lounge with a Delta boarding pass or can I use the digital version? Big newb here.
Traveling to Santa Fe in mid-October for 6 days. Will have a rental car - recommendations? Group is very into hiking, the outdoors, museums, and food :) TYIA
Anybody done the Hilton Grand Vacations package in Hawaii? Where you sit through a timeshare pitch for 70% discount on hotel. Was it worth it? Was the property nice? Hidden fees?
Need 8k more EQM's to hit AA EP before year end. I'm based out of LA area. Any recommendations for mileage runs?
How do I pick the best airline and hotel chain for reward status? I'm about to start traveling a lot more next year, and I don't have any real strong loyalties. I live in the north-east in a mid-sized city, and will be traveling mostly in the north-east. My airport is primarily served by American, Delta and Southwest, but isn't a hub for any airline.
Just received cousin's invite to her wedding and it's on a Sunday. It's not necessarily a destination wedding but is in a city that neither she nor her family, nor her partner's family lives, so everybody has to fly + get hotels. I'm annoyed because I think it's a but disrespectful to your guests to make them all travel and do it on a Sunday so people have to take time off work Monday in order to attend. I know I don't have to attend, but shouldn't it be convenient for guests?
Anyone heard of Dosh app? Looks like I can get $50 in cashback/week booking my hotel through this, but I don’t see options to combine with my loyalty program.
My son (1 yr old) holds a multiple entry Indian visa. We visited India this May and came back in August. We might have to travel to India again in November. Is there a cooling off period?
The gate agent at O'Hare called Global Services and 1Ks together. Don't know what that means. 1K requirements getting bumped up?
Did American Airlines really have the nerve to offer me magazines for my miles? In 2016? Magazines, paper magazines, for my miles??? REALLY?!
Does IHG do a status match with either bonvoy, Hyatt or Hilton? Any contact or link I can request on
Do you tip the housekeeping staff at the hotel? If so, how much? And do you expense this or consider it part of your per diem?
IBM is still a consulting group you guys. I'm pretty sure that global services is going to eliminate consulting groups for recently acquired consulting groups for Truven and Explorys.
And once again, grand prix at the Effies goes to a non-profit - not saying the work wasn’t highly effective or meaningful (it was, major kudos) but still a bit disheartening hearing them present the winning case as an idea the agency came up with and then went cold calling to find a client/org for. When there’s business-driving creativity being done on big/hard clients. Lots of other wins were for non-profits though so that’s the industry I guess 🤷♂️🤷♀️
Comp question - what should a B4 Senior with a CPA, CFF, CFE, and a MBA with 4 years forensic exp (D&T) and 6+ years non-forensic exp (industry) in NYC and DC markets expect in this current climate?
Anyone know if companies are doing virtual holiday parties and if so, what are they doing? I’m tasked with planning mine, but if I have to sit on another awkward zoom happy hour I might just explode. Open to suggestions or ideas. My team is spread out internationally, so even sending a stupid “swag” gift is next to impossible.
So my counselor requested I set up some meetings to "put together a maternity transition plan (if any)" Just had the first one, a month and a half out from my Mat, and while I was expecting some kind of supportive "Hey let's get everything prepped for you to go!", it was just him going "Oh you've discussed the plan with your team & have a meeting to formalize it next week? What does that mean? You don't have anything written down!? Well that's not enough" Feeling very uncomfy after it.
Interviewing at EY ServiceNow practice with 5 YOE. Should I go for SC or M? What salary range should I be going for?
Wondering if any of you typically get a holiday gift for the Exec you support, and if you do, what do you typically gift them?
Anyone Hiring a Sr. Graphic Designer or Digital Designer. Ready to locate anywhere. Thanks.
Has anyone at PwC ever accidentally used their corporate Amex for personal expenses? Were there serious consequences?
Do you think it’s reasonable to decline a job offer right now to another B4 due to market conditions and the pandemic?
I'm an experienced attorney (16 years), worked in government, small/medium firms, been a solo. I'm also looking to get out of family/immigration law and go into labor/insurance defense/litigation. According to BCG I'm a terrible candidate for lateral positions and was told that recruiters would never work with me. However, I still get emails/text messages that they want to work with me. WTH?!?!
Should I join Accenture or Deloitte? Heard Accenture beat Deloitte in revenue. Are the Deloitte fishes still laughing? Comp does not matter to me I only care which firm makes more revenue and how many fish will laugh at me.
Do any real people actually want schools to reopen as it stands now? Im hearing so much about it but it feels like a weird disconnected political thing and not a live humans with kids thing. *Obv the goal is to get covid under control so kids can go back safely, this is assuming infection rates stay steady or continue to climb
We can discuss about Apigee, Q&A, doubts and its job openings here. All folks from Apigee tech stack are welcome.
Need some advice! I'm a recent PhD grad (30 yo) in STEM, and just got some offers from different companies. Particularly, two of them are interesting to me. 1) from a Energy Market Company in Pennsylvania as an Operations Research Scientist, 95k + 15% bonus + very good benefits and generous PTO. It's a very chill job (9-5) with good people but limited opportunity to growth. 2) from a consulting company in NYC as a data science consultant, 130k + 10k signing bonus. Which one you choose? why?
What do people feel when looking on the amount that the US colleagues salary's on the firsbowl, in comparison with the UKI when the cost of living is pretty comparable?
Is 1.68 for a townhouse is expensive for house hold income ~600k? we can do 20% down. I am just nervous as we are in the hook for $7.5k mortgage every month including property tax, hoa and insurance. Just can’t seem to decide or let go!
I’m a CPA/FA and want to sit for the CFP exam. When I took the CPA I used CPAExcel and I loved it bc it broke down the material into “bite sized” lessons. Anything like that for CFP? Continued..
