Met a guy thru a mutual friends. Our first date was a day trip together. He couldnt come to a group event this week bc of work but I ended up to his house to hookup after (my idea). In my opinion one of the worse things you could hear from someone when you are dating is ‘I usually don’t talk to someone like you’. It makes it seem like you are just settling for that person.

Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.

How to follow up without sounding desperate? I already let them know I have competing offer expiring. They promised to get back to me multiple times but still don’t have final decision from them despite positive feedback.
